Gas Fume Chamber, to determine the burnt gas fume Color Fastness of textiles when exposed to atmospheric oxides of nitrogen derived from the combustion of gases
Application:
The Gas Fume Chamber is designed to simulate the effects of atmospheric oxides of nitrogen generated from the combustion of natural gas. This machine is specifically used for assessing color fastness of textiles exposed to burnt gas fumes.
In the test, a specimen of the textile and a control fabric are both exposed to oxides of nitrogen simultaneously until the control fabric undergoes a color change that aligns with the standard fading reference. The color change of the specimen is then evaluated using the gray scale for color change assessment.
The chamber includes a burning and control chamber, a rotating sample rack, a standardized gas burner, a test duration timer, and an exhaust port (which connects to an extractor system). The temperature is easily adjustable via a digital touch panel and is automatically regulated by the closed-loop PLC system for consistent, accurate results.
